Frequently used grinding media types are Stainless steel, Chrome Steel, Tungsten carbide, ceramic .At an appropriate speed the material is rotated by the shaft with cross arms, resulting in mass size reduction, dispersion and grinding. Premixing is not essential.

working principle

it is applicable for the operation of a batch grinding to reduce particle size simply and effectively. The resin & pigment with grinding media are placed in a jacketed grinding tank. Commonly used grinding media types are stainless steel, chrome steel, tungsten carbide, ceramic, or zirconium oxide. The material and the media are then agitated by the shaft with cross arms, rotating at suitable speed. This causes the media to exert both shearing and impact forces on the material, resulting in optimum size reduction, dispersion & grinding. No premixing is necessary.
